Naturalist Nights 2026 | Free Winter Speaker Series

Naturalist Nights is back for another season of learning, building community, and of course, our famous cookies and tea!

Each winter, our Naturalist Nights speaker series brings in experts to explore topics of the natural world with our community. This year’s diverse topics range from the impacts of budgeting and staffing cuts on our public lands to the ecological resilience of old-growth pinyon-juniper forests to reimagining the West’s water future and more!

The Naturalist Nights lecture series is a partnership with the Aspen Center for Environmental Studies (ACES) and the Roaring Fork Audubon.

Presentations are Wednesdays at 6 PM at the Community Hall in the Third Street Center in Carbondale and Thursdays at 6 PM at ACES’ Hallam Lake in Aspen. The Thursday night lecture will be available to watch on our YouTube page after the event.

Registration for in-person presentations is greatly encouraged.
